Rodarte Inspired Nails

New York Fashion Week has ended but it left us with some beautiful nude trends. We saw almost bare faces, polished hair and beautiful nude nails. My inspiration today was this beautiful patterned nails we saw in Rodarte’s runway. To achieve it I used a couple of polishes, some Scotch tape and patience. According to Bazaar, Rodarte’s manicurists “hand-crafted a cross-hatched pattern on nude nails, a technique that took over 150 hours to create on a total of 30 sets of nails”. Obviously it didn’t take me this long but I’m wondering what they used to make these patterns. I normally use Scotch tape but I’d noticed it doesn’t last very long… any ideas?

Marc Jacobs Inspired Manicure

This manicure was inspired by these gorgeous Marc Jacobs glitter mouse flats. I used golden polish instead of glitter because I ¬†didn’t want to go over the top…though I’m not entirely happy with the result because I think the mouse resembles a cat… but it looks cute anyway!
